First licensed in 1954, Bill is an active, enthusiastic HF DXer and “ragchewer” – mostly using SSB, CW and PSK31. He is a past president of our club, as well as a past membership vice president - and was our club CW instructor for many years. Among his other Ham activities, Bill has written several articles for QST , been a contributing author for the ARRL Handbook, loves to design and build Ham gear, and to restore and operate vintage amateur radio equipment. Non-Ham related hobbies include golf, photography and travel.

A UCLA graduate, Bill's professional activities were mainly associated with the computer peripherals industry. He has held several senior engineering and executive positions, authored a number of industry papers, and lectured, both in the United States and internationally.
