About the Planning Vice President...

 

 

Lynn has been a licensed ham and SFVARC member since 2000, and was elected to the position of Planning VP in 2004. Lynn usually operates on two-meter FM and occasionally on SSB during contests, and has also been responsible for setting up and operating the club's VHF/UHF station during Field Day. He is also a member of the Los Angeles City Fire Department Auxiliary Communications Service.

Besides amateur radio, Lynn 's other hobbies include photography, astronomy, and collecting vintage radio equipment.

He is currently employed as a customer service representative in the electronics industry, and has worked as a telecommunications field technician. He also holds an FCC General Radio-Telephone Operators License.

A Southern California native and San Fernando Valley resident, he attributes his interest in amateur radio to his fascination with radio and electronics since childhood. “I like the social aspect of being in amateur radio. It's a hobby that brings people together, and also provides necessary communications in times of crisis.”
